The Conference & Events Coordinator assists in the coordination of all CCCU Conferences and events. The ideal candidate will be strategic and innovative with a "can do" attitude. This position may be eligible for hybrid work but will be based out of D.C.
Essential Functions of the Role:
Assist with planning of the CCCU portfolio of conferences and events
Coordinate logistical aspects of virtual, hybrid, and in-person meetings and events
Communicate with speakers, attendees, and vendors effectively and timely
Provide registration support
Review meeting materials for quality control
Design and order sway items
Upload content and serve as point person for Guidebook app
Produce and upload content for PowerPoint presentations
Serve as primary web editor for conferences and events website
Facilitate weekly conference revenue, registration, and roster reports as needed.
Develop and analyze post-conference survey data and create written reports
Serve as the primary backup point of contact in the absence of the Senior Director of Conferences & Events
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
Excellent professional interpersonal and written communication skills, being able to communicate with broad audiences, including topic experts, guest speakers, and audience attendees.
Detail orientated and organized; able to handle working in a fast-paced environment with ease
Problem solve and make effective decisions
Ability to prioritize between multiple competing tasks
Ability to work on own initiative and as a key team member
Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, and other irregular hours
Proficiency in a range of computer applications and databases; including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Zoom. Experiene with WordPress or IMIS a plus
Travel as necessary
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree (Marketing, Business, Communications, Event Management or Hospitality preferred) or relevant work experience will be considered.
1+ years special or live events experience preferred
Competitive Total Compensation Package:
The hiring range for this position is $21 to $24 per hour.
The CCCU covers 100% of the employee cost for Health, Dental and Vision.
