Arlington Free Clinic is a nonprofit organization that provides free, high-quality healthcare to low-income, uninsured adults in Arlington Virginia. We are excited to have been awarded a grant that allows us to enhance and innovate our behavioral health services. We are seeking an experienced part time grant funded position for one year working a minimum of 20 hours per week. Hybrid of onsite and telework considered.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct behavioral health assessments and triage patients with mental/behavioral health concerns.
Actively participate in the development of a new, pilot program for patients seeking behavioral health services.
Implement brief therapy interventions based on short term/solution-based theories.
Make professional treatment and/or referral recommendations.
Design and participate in the development of treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment.
Provide emergency intervention as needed.
Licensed in Virginia as an LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT or other relevant specialty, that allows for independent practice as a behavioral health therapy provider.
3 to 5 years' experience as professional counselor.
Experience in delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Experience and knowledge working with clients facing multiple socioeconomic barriers.
Strong computer proficiency with experience using electronic patient medical records and Microsoft Office Suite.
