We’re hiring today! Tymoff+Moss Architects is an established firm in Norfolk with current and upcoming projects that include public and private K-12 schools, universities, municipalities, residential and commercial clients, and several charities and nonprofits. Our studio is located in the historic Freemason District in a renovated former gas station, within walking distance of the waterfront and downtown area.
Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; retirement plan and generous profit-sharing program; vacation and paid holidays; flexible schedule and remote work opportunities; and subsidized gym membership.
Tymoff+Moss Architects is dedicated to designing projects that bring value, promote liveliness, and elevate the spaces there we learn, live, work, and play. Every day, in interactions both large and small, from the mundane to the truly extraordinary, we
experience the built environment. We believe in the power of architecture to shape that experience.
The firm was founded with an open studio concept that fosters a collaborative design effort that’s key to our process. The staff consists of a diverse set of architects with distinct and varied backgrounds and a vast array of multi-disciplinary skills. We use updated AutoCAD and Revit Architecture, SketchUp, and Lumion, as well as a fully equipped wood shop where we cut and assemble old-school models for many of our projects.
TMA does not stay in one lane. Our projects have given us the opportunity to creatively solve a wide range or programmatic issues and develop a solid understanding of built environments and their construction. Our work has given us the opportunity to learn continually, find creative and elegant solutions to even the most complex problems, and practice the art of construction through design. We know how to design buildings and their interiors; we also know how to build them. And we love doing it.
