Summary: The Intern, Employment Law is responsible for supporting the HR department in carrying out human resources functions in compliance with company policy, state and federal laws and regulations.
Undergraduate rate: $19.00 per hour; Graduate rate: $22.00 per hour
This position will support the HR department in carrying out human resources functions in compliance with company policy, state and federal laws and regulations
Maintain working knowledge of federal and various state employment and HR related laws
Monitor and analyze legal changes, then submit recommendations to ensure compliance
Assists in the development and improvement of company policies and procedures
Works closely with OPSD Dept. to handle daily tasks as well as assist in accomplishing long-term projects.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Assists with day-to-day administration needs as required.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Ability to maintain strict confidentially
Background in human resource experiences preferred.
Experience or interest in working with public health preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
Ability to work with in a remote setting
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Strong communication skills
