Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Institute (MI) is seeking an Associate Director, FAME USA. This position is responsible for supporting MI program activities with an emphasis on managing and supporting key elements of the MI's FAME USA program. FAME USA is a distinct training model and framework used to develop global-best skilled technicians.
You'll be joining a team of problem-solvers designing, enhancing, and managingprogrammatic solutions while also creating successful partnerships to attractand prepare the next generation of manufacturing workforce. The successfulcandidate will embrace taking responsibility for various aspects of a respectednational training model, partnering with local operations, developing coalitions, and constantly improving program deliverables while recognizing and seizing opportunities for further development.
The Manufacturing Institute is the workforce development and education partner ofthe National Association of Manufacturers with a mission to build, diversifyand strengthen the manufacturing workforce for individual opportunity, community prosperity and a competitive manufacturing industry for the future. The Associate Director, Workforce Programs, will be part of the Workforce Solutions team within the larger MI.
Join the MI and Make an Impact in the Following Ways:
* Work within the FAME USA team to lead and support elements of the FAME program. Areas of particular focus include:
- Ongoing support for new and existing FAME chapters
- Create, integrate, and support various systems, tools, and related resources to support operations and successful scaling of FAME
- Promote the FAME model to companies, economic development organizations, and industry associations
Assist in planning and executing convenings, webinars and conferences for the FAME program.
Communicate and collaborate as appropriate with external partners, including partner non-profits, education institutions, and government agencies.
Develop and manage project plans, reporting schedules and formats, and development and delivery of key deliverables related to FAME USA.
Support program and related activities under the MI Workforce Solutions portfolio.
Develop content including program collateral, toolkits, social media content and other thought leadership to highlight the MI's Workforce Solutions portfolio; partner with Communications and other departments on content delivery as needed.
Contribute to the development and deployment of new solutions to increase the number of qualified applicants for open positions in manufacturing.

We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
- 10-15 years of related work experience, including experience and interest in:
- Workforce development programs
- Building and supporting training models for industry
- Familiarity with community college and/or technical education systems
- Experience with coalition creation and management
- Knowledge of the FAME model of education preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with third-party credentials
- Economic development experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent writing skills with experience writing for an organization.
- Must be well organized and self-motivated, with the ability to effectively manage workload to meet dynamic deadlines.
- Ability to work in a hybrid and fast-paced environment, using various software applications to perform multiple tasks.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are very important.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and the ability and attitude necessary to learnvarious web-based applications.
- Team-oriented with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
- The ability to interact professionally with staff, company executives (internal and
- external), and other stakeholders.
