Senior Prospect Development Consultant performs high-level coordination of the planning and implementation of strategies for Georgetown University's major, leadership, and principal gifts programs and internal campaign planning and analysis. An experienced, development professional, the Senior Prospect Consultant collects, analyzes, and distributes information/data on existing and prospective donors to manage and foster the prospect pipeline in order to support business operations, presenting findings to the Senior Director and other campaign leadership. They take on additional special projects with a particular focus on prospect management policy development and communication, determining best practice and providing leadership in improving current practices and procedures to support development and Advancement objectives. In this role, the Senior Prospect Consultant manages development officer and development associate onboarding, portfolio orientation training, prospect management systems updates training, and development officer offboarding.
Work Interactions- Reports to the Senior Director, Prospect Development. Works closely with the following staff (but not exclusively): development officers and associates, campaign operations team members, donor relations, stewardship, and campaign research and analytics team. They also interact with the AVP for Regional Advancement and Principal Gifts and the AVP for Campaign and Development Operations.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- 3 to 5 years' experience in prospect development, campaign planning, and frontline fundraising, or equivalent experience in analytical research or another information-related field within an academic, nonprofit, or corporate environment
- Experience with relational/CRM databases to perform searches and create reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrates the ability to synthesize material from multiple sources into coherent and accurate presentation
- Strong ability to triage, set priorities, and manage conflicting goals and agendas
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment when working with sensitive information
Preferred qualifications- Knowledge of statistical software such as Python, R or other similar programs
- Background work in data visualization and understanding of key data visualization concepts
