Coordinator, Health Equity and Diversity Initiatives

Summary: The Health Equity and Diversity Initiatives Coordinator will provide support to the Health Equity and Diversity Initiatives team.
Manages Senior Vice President (SVP) of Health Equity and Diversity Initiatives calendar and meeting requests. Reviews and updates SVP???s calendar and requests for meetings throughout each work day.
Arranges travel for SVP and designated team members as needed; prepares daily/weekly meeting folders for the SVP.
Organizes and manages the Health Equity and Diversity Initiatives calendar and the schedules of the Senior Advisor and Senior Director.
Coordinates the weekly report for the Health Equity and Diversity Initiatives.
Coordinates meetings, assists with meeting planning, notetaking, slide development, and provides on-site support at ASTHO supported meetings for any Health Equity and Diversity Initiatives team member as requested.
Assists in producing and mailing of travel and meeting materials.
Organizes and maintains team???s documents, files, and surveys. Maintains databases.
Performs tasks involving organizing reports, contract files, memos, meeting minutes and professional correspondence; edits documents as required.
Manages invoices with consultants, contractors and states for the health equity and diversity initiatives portfolio; serves as backup on other health equity projects
Supports the administration of any learning communities, committees or workgroups.
Participates in Health Equity and Diversity Initiatives??? team meetings; supports team projects including virtual meetings associated with learning community projects.
Performs basic accounting tasks, check request and reimbursement submissions.
Establishes purchasing accounts/contracts.
Maintains inventory of office supplies.
Shares in workload with staff to complete any job that has priority at the time.
Participates on the Administrative coordinators??? team by providing back up support to other coordinators in ASTHO to include the reception front desk.
Performs related duties as required.
Bachelor???s degree and interest in public health or health policy or equivalent years of experience.
2-3 years administrative/office work.
Experience working for membership association and/or government officials preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service.
Ability to travel within service area.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, manage multiple projects and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Proficiency operating office phone systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of other software applications (e.g., association management systems, desktop publishing, Qualtrics, etc.) and HTML and/or Web page design.
