Quality: Provides leadership and oversight of all performance improvement/quality initiatives; state behavioral health regulatory requirements, Joint Commission and CMS regulatory metrics Leads and oversees processes and direction that support clinical and service outcomes over all hospitals, outpatient programs and Kellar Center.
Service: Directs the effective and efficient operation of all levels of services. Leads the development, implementation, evaluation and analysis of operations of service line and patient and family experience through the use of evidence based interventions.
Growth: Ensures that organizational services and objectives are responsive to and in alignment with current and anticipated market forces. Identify and initiate new business opportunities and develop strategies to attract resources to generate independent financial support. Prioritizes growth and expansion opportunities into new markets and develops strategic plans, business plans and proforma that support the Inova Behavorial Health strategic initiatives.
People: Leads, engages, recruits and retains high performing staff and physicians with a commitment to excellence and a culture of safety. Cost: Responsible for the development, implementation and management of annual budget to include billing, accounts receivable, management of denials, meeting budgeted volume expectations, management of expenses and negotiating managed care contracts for all Inova hospitals and Inova Medical Group.
Community: Partners with hospital leaders and physicians within Behavioral Health and across the system in meeting the mental health needs of patients in the community. Develops and fosters effective and responsive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials and community leaders in the regional, state and national arenas, positions the organization at the forefront of the industry leaders.

Member of BH task force for Fairfax, Loudoun and Pr. William County, City of Alexandria to create partnerships and streamline referral and treatment processes.
Works closely with donors and institutions to improve programming and profitability of Inova Foundation in securing philanthropic donations. Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to local and national organizations on development, implementation, profitability and sustainability of Behavioral Health programs.
