Administrator Needed to Work with Executive Director and Administrative Team at Non-Profit Educational Organization (Part-time – 17.5 hours per week)
Detail-oriented, tech savvy individual needed to work with Executive Director and administrative team at the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis. Our organization’s purpose is to advance the study and practice of psychoanalysis through continuing education and outreach efforts. We offer continuing education programs to our students and candidates, to our members and to the broader mental health community. This position will be located in our main office in Northwest Washington, DC when it is safe to be on site due to concerns about Covid-19. Reports directly to the Executive Director. Duties include:
updating website and database
formatting and emailing monthly one-page publication to members and posting on website
preparing program announcements
student admissions processing
maintaining student and candidate records
updating operating manuals for candidates and faculty
assisting faculty with IT issues on site (once classes are held in person safely again)
local banking/prepare and upload invoices and deposits to dropbox for payment and recording by off-site accountant
tracking contributions; preparing thank you letters
completing annual DC licensure application
updating online psychoanalytic literature database subscription for members
program logistics (once programs can meet in person safely again)
food and beverage coordination for in-person programs (once programs can meet in person safely again)
board meeting minutes (four times per year)
preparing written membership and other correspondence
responding to emails and phone calls; assisting registrants with online registration
maintaining electronic system of records/ensuring compliance with record retention policy
maintaining attendance documents for courses/events Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience working in non-profit setting preferable Detail oriented
Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to multitask a must
Tech savvy – Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Acrobat; Zoom; Dropbox; ShareFile; Social Media – Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram,
Good written and oral communication skills; strong proofreading skills
Professional demeanor – ability to work closely with committee and program chairs.
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: This part-time position is paid hourly and there are no additional benefits associated with the position at this time.
