Inova Health System is seeking one (1) enthusiastic full time dosimetrist interested in joining clinical team at Inova Department of Advanced Radiation Oncology and Proton therapy, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of sixteen dosimetrists at Inova Health System that cover planning for electrons, 2D, 3D conformal, IMRT, VMAT, SRS and SBRT treatments,. The ongoing translational activities include advancements in intensity modulated radiation therapy with static and arc beams, adaptive and image-guided radiation therapy and head and body stereotactic techniques. The successful candidate will be expected to join the team of dosimetrists to create the highest quality external beam treatment plans including image fusion, documentation and assistance at the CT/MRI simulator as need. Inova Department of Advanced Radiation Oncology and Proton Therapy is an international center for advanced cancer care and research, serving Northern Virginia, the Washington, DC metro area, and the world beyond. With locations across the northern Virginia, the Center can treat patient at Alexandria, Fair Oaks, Fairfax, Loudoun and Woodbridge where it's most convenient for the patients. Across the system, equipment includes 2 Vaults IBA Proton, 5 TrueBeams with HyperArc, 4 Trilogys, 1 M6 CyberKnife, 3 HDR units, 2 IORT units, 1 3T MRI and 6 simulation CTs. External planning is done with Eclipse and RayStation while using Aria for patient data management. The full-time dosimetrist will provide all staff dosimetry duties as required primarily for Inova Fair Oaks Hospital but may require rotating through other Inova hospitals per clinical needs. The staff dosimetrist will report to the system chief dosimetrist at Inova Health System and work under the direction of physicists and physicians. The ideal candidate will be energetic and well-trained, possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, and have interest in potential career advancement within the Inova Health system. |
