| Operate a wide variety of power plant equipment to include boilers, chilled water air conditioning equipment, pumps, air compressors and diesel-electric generators for the provision of utilities necessary for hospital operations. Assumes full responsibility for plant operations during evening, night and weekend/holiday shifts. Maintain proper water quality for boiler water, condensate, water softeners, and cooling towers to ensure that water is within proper limits to prevent damage to power plant equipment Equipment Maintenance - Repair and maintain power house equipment to minimize interruptions of utilities to the hospital Maintains the power plant building and all equipment in first-class condition which promotes a clean and safe work environment which prevents personal injury and equipment damage Appearance, Health, and Safety Behavior - Adhere to departmental and governmental safety standards and organizational and departmental personal appearance policies.
