Senior Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships

Position Summary: The Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships is a key leader in The Arc, charged to develop, implement and manage fundraising strategies that support The Arc’s longstanding commitment to advocate with and for, and serve, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Senior Director will effectively identify, cultivate and steward all manner of institutional giving to include corporations, foundations and government agencies and actively manage the resulting partnerships, sponsorships, grants and other institutional relationships. Mentoring a Development Manager, the Senior Director will create and implement a comprehensive growth strategy and fundraising plan to encourage institutional support and partnerships for The Arc and its mission. The Senior Director also serves as a national leader to support The Arc’s chapter network in developing and expanding capacity to increase institutional support at the state and local level. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience establishing and managing relationships and engaging in multi-channel fundraising efforts, as well as the ability to benchmark and analyze the core metrics to measure success. The Senior Director must have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be a critical, strategic thinker who is a collaborative leader and manager with a high emotional intelligence. This position reports to the CEO and is located in Washington, DC.*

State and local chapters of The Arc are engaged in both public policy advocacy and individual advocacy to assist people with IDD to get the services and supports they need. Our chapters also provide a wide array of services and supports for people with IDD and their families. This varies by chapter and includes but is not limited to: residential, educational, and employment services, personal care, peer support, self-advocacy training, person-centered and future planning, day programs, recreational activities, and other supports that meet the unique needs of people with IDD in each community. *Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, employees of The Arc may choose to work remotely. This is currently scheduled to continue until April 1, 2021, but may be extended.
