Identity is seeking an exceptional Program Director to oversee a wide range of holistic social and emotional skill-building, academic support and leadership development programs and wraparound services such as case management, behavioral health and recreation for elementary, middle and high school students and out-of-school youth and their families in the schools, on playing fields and in the community. To this end, the Program Director is responsible for the success of their portfolio of programs and services, ensuring high-quality management and program design, delivery, quality control, and evaluation. The Program Director also oversees multiple grants, contracts, and budgets from government and private funders. The Program Director is a key representative of their programs and Identity as a whole among external stakeholders.
The Program Director reports to the Executive Director and is a critical member of Identity’s Leadership Team, collaborating and coordinating with Identity’s other Program Directors so that Identity is best able to support Latino and other at-risk youth in their transition to adulthood.

Strong applicants will have significant experience in leading, developing and managing programs and staff, be an exceptional verbal and written communicator, have an advanced degree in a relevant field and be bi-lingual English/Spanish. They will be thoroughly committed to Identity’s vision, mission, and strategy and have a sophisticated understanding of the current and historic drivers of needs in the Latino community and related issues as well as best practices in helping at-risk youth achieve their potential.

The Program Director will be thoroughly committed to Identity’s vision and strategy and passionate about Identity’s founding mission of creating opportunities for Latino youth and their families to reach their highest potential. The Program Director will have a sophisticated understanding of the current and historic drivers of needs in the Latino community and related issues as well as best practices in helping all at-risk youth achieve their potential. The Program Director will have demonstrated leadership and program development and management skills as well as supervisory experience and demonstrated success managing stakeholder and funder relationships.
Specific requirements include:
*Program Leadership and Management: Experience successfully leading a variety of initiatives and a track record of effectively leading a performance-based and outcome-based program and staff. Experience using data to inform strategic decisions and operations. Experience developing and operationalizing strategies that have taken a program or organization to the next stage of growth.
*Team Building and Development: Experience successfully recruiting, managing, and developing a strong team of staff and program/project managers. Served as a “player/coach” to motivate and mentor his or her team and instilled a sense of accountability and high-quality performance standards.
*Exceptional Communication and Influencing Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to be a persuasive, credible, and polished communicator and to provide exposure for Identity and its constituents in a variety of policy and professional settings, journals and media outlets. *Advanced degree in education, behavioral health, psychology, social work or related field preferred, with at least 5 years of program management experience (including managing budgets) and 5 years of experience working with youth and families, ideally in a nonprofit setting. Knowledge of the Positive Youth Development model. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Comfortable with electronic databases. *Unwavering commitment to research-informed, evidenced-based quality programs and excellence in organizational and project management with the ability to achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget. Demonstrated experience in development, including proposal design and writing and the ability to engage a wide range of donors and investors such as foundations, corporate sponsors, and government grantors. *Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. *Ability to adapt, multi-task and reprioritize in a fast-paced environment. *Team-spirited. *Impeccable integrity. *Strong work ethic. *Excellent interpersonal skills.
