JSSA’s growing Development team is seeking a seasoned Manager to provide operations leadership to the department’s endeavors to obtain, retain and grow broad public support to support its mission and programs. This position, reporting to the Chief Development Officer, is central to managing the fundraising efforts from multiple channels, including mail and online giving programs, workplace giving, grateful patient and spontaneous support programs, peer-to-peer opportunities, community groups, and other forms of charitable investment that is vital to JSSA’s ability to deliver on its mission.
Essential job responsibilities include managing JSSA’s CRM Salesforce, ensuring data hygiene; all donor acknowledgment, ensuring best practices in stewardship; and development operations, ensuring proper compliance with professional, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Managing administrative and donor-related activities for the annual campaign while utilizing the support of the Development Associate.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Minimum four years development experience focused on annual campaigns and /or direct marketing. Must be proficient in managing databases, and the reporting functions, SalesForce experience extremely helpful. Strong knowledge of fund development principles and best practices. Proficient in all elements of Microsoft Word Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized. Candidate must possess the capacity to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
